Digital Media has seen a meteoric rise to become one of the most powerful ways of modern day communication. I am exploring topics from Design to Technology, Project Management and, my focus areas, strategy and concept development.
With the work with Hyper Island, I worked with design, programming and concept development.
As students, we saw a need as to brand not only us as a class but Hyper Island as well. We started to explore a sufficient way to reach that goal and quickly concluded that a website and an app would be applicable.
The website function is to get a glimpse of the class DMC17KNA's talented people and get a direction of where to go to find out more about them.
The app focuses more on what, how and why we are doing things. With a gallery that shows what we are doing both in- and outside the school, it's possible to get an opinion of what Hyper Island really stand for. With a toolbox that showcases our tools for creativity, teamwork and ideation the viewer gets a chance to get to know how we are learning to do things at Hyper. And with an "About" function that portrays all the people in the class, it's possible to ask questions that then get's to the inbox.
For the moment it's mainly an internal tool for us to keep in contact during our internships and to stay motivated throughout the process. This is an app that in the future can be used for the entire Hyper Island community as well as show lectures, internship spots and of course our clients.
